Associate Lawyer

We are seeking a full-time Associate lawyer who is detail‑oriented, proactive, and adept at managing multiple cases.

The successful candidate excels in litigation and is deeply committed to advancing advocacy.

What You’ll Do:

As an Associate Lawyer, you will:

• Case Management & Representation
  • Manage and handle assigned cases with diligence and professionalism.
  • Represent clients before courts, administrative agencies, investigative bodies, quasi-judicial tribunals, and other forums.
  • Offer legal representation in civil and criminal proceedings, as well as administrative, conciliation, or mediation hearings.
  • Prepare pleadings, notices, and make court appearances.
• Client Engagement & Advisory
  • Conduct client consultations and provide clear, practical legal advice.
  • Assess and advise on legal risks to the office and clients.
  • Explain laws, rulings, and regulations in accessible terms.
  • Facilitate innovative solutions to client problems.
• Research & Drafting
  • Perform in-depth legal research, gather evidence, and prepare briefs, memoranda, and pleadings.
  • Draft and review contracts, wills, trusts, estates, affidavits, deeds, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed.
• Team & Organizational Support
  • Provide legal service support to the lawyers’ team.
  • Assist the Executive Director in review and mentoring functions.
  • Manage regulatory and compliance-related services.
• Community & Advocacy
  • Contribute to community legal initiatives, particularly those advancing environmental and social justice.
  • Participate in community legal help activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized law school.
• Licensed Lawyer admitted to the Philippine Bar.
• Willingness to travel and attend court hearings or regulatory proceedings.
• Flexible schedule; willing to work extended hours when needed.
